  26/ JUN/ 2019

It is a spectacular and calm bay, with a length of approximately 5 kilometers, transparent waters that make easy the constant sighting of turtles, schools, manta rays and other aquatic beings that inhabit these waters.

Respect for the flora, fauna and especially the turtles, is part of the culture in Akumal, they inhabited these beaches and waters thousands of years ago so they have habits recognized by all the locals, in the months of April and May spawn and in the months of July and August the beaches are covered with small traces of the offspring, whose instinct directs them in a furtive race towards the warm waters of the Mexican Caribbean.
