Mercedes place is just as described maybe even better! The beach is like a 5 minute or less walk. The house was super clean and loved the security and safety of the area. My family will definitely come back here!
“El lugar excelente la limpieza fabulosa los accesorios de la casa súper completos en general le doy un 10”
This place was great! We were only a few blocks from Quinta Avenida (the main tourist spot) and the beach. There is also a Mega supermarket 1 block away and El Fogón, which is one of the most popular restaurants in the area. We felt safe the whole time. The security guards are kind. As a family of 5, we had plenty of space in the condo. There is construction occurring on the adjacent building both at night and in the early morning so be prepared for that if you are a light sleeper.Zack
Plenty of space for two families-basically two master bedrooms w one poolside and one ocean view. Great outdoor spaces and easy two minute walk to beach access and 15 minutes walk into town. Well stocked w cooking supplies and beach chairs, etc. Communication w the property manager was easy and prompt. Highly recommend!
Se resume en una palabra: PERFECTO!Luis

Amazing rental in a fantastic neighborhood!Pamela
Fantastic place to stay, with lots of food / shopping / beach options nearby. Little secret: go RIGHT instead of left when you step on 5th, and you will find my two favorite restaurants in Playa, just four short blocks away: Drupas 38 for a very nice dinner, and La Cueva del Chango for Mexican food / lunch / breakfast. They are around the intersection of 38th and 5th. There is also an AMAZING leather store on the way and one of the only places in Playa selling finely crafted goods and not trying to screw you on price (my gf got a handmade black alligator wallet for $105 USD). Tip about the place, as of Aug 2012, only CD (with no auxiliary-in) and DVD player available. Only CON: the bar downstairs gets a little loud with dance music until around midnight, but it is only an annoyance in the 2nd bedroom. But, it's not that big of deal, and it is nice to have a fun bar within arms reach. Final tip: Head right on 5th again for breakfast at the Choclotier, around 5th and 38th.Ward
Our stay in Casa Bella Vista was wonderful (4 adults + 2 kids 9 and 12 yo). The location in Playacard is great, with security 24h/day and very close to everything, 200 yards from a nice beach and 5-10 minutes walk to town. The location is very quiet, allowing for a good night sleep. The house is fantastic, really nice/modern open kitchen, dining- and living-rooms. It has four beautifully decorated bedrooms, each one with private bathroom. There is a full patio in the first floor, a sun tanning deck in the second, and a really nice "observation" deck from where you can enjoy an evening drink or breakfast with an ocean view. Lots of amenities are included, such as swimming pool, beach chairs and towels, grill, cleaning service, purified water, etc. Simply put, this is a fantastic place to stay in Playa del Carmen. I am very happy we stayed here.Roxana
